We Were Featured in Urban Creature: “Memento of a Teaveler”
We were recently featured in an article by Urban Creature titled “Memento of a Teaveler”, and we’re grateful to be included in a beautifully written piece that captures the spirit of tea culture in Yaowarat.
This article isn’t about trends or reviews. It’s a quiet, reflective walk through Bangkok’s Chinatown, seen through the lens of tea — as a craft, a ritual, and a living memory passed down through generations.
The writer explores how tea is woven into everyday life: from narrow streets lined with long-standing tea shops, to conversations with traders who’ve spent decades working with leaves, aromas, and time itself. The story touches on classic Chinese tea traditions, the slow rhythm of gongfu brewing, and the idea that tea is less about the destination — and more about the journey it invites you into.
What we loved most is how the article treats tea not as a product, but as a connector. A bridge between people and places. Between past and present. Between culture and curiosity.
Toward the end of the journey, our shop becomes part of that story. We’re honored to be included alongside Yaowarat’s long tea lineage — not as something separate or new, but as a continuation of the same values: respect for tradition, attention to detail, and an invitation for people to slow down and experience tea more deeply.
Being featured in Urban Creature reminds us why we do what we do. Tea isn’t meant to be rushed. It’s meant to be explored, shared, and remembered.
Thank you to the Urban Creature team for telling this story — and for letting us be a small part of it.
